Today, I got angry. Really angry, as did a lot of people I know. And while I apologize for it, my anger remains, and its hard to see where to send it...

I want to be upset at the republicans, but that goes without saying really. Its not particularly hard. But I don't want to be upset with President Obama.

If nothing more, what I'd really like to know is why on earth Obama's administration released, on the NIGHT BEFORE the election, a statement that basically said to gay people "See what you did? You tried to hard and I had to cancel it when you were winning. I know I promised you would get your right in the last half of my term, but since every republican was already voting againt it, theres not much I can do, except issue endless orders stopping any avenue of repeal that will actually work, while giving in to issues that further destroy america. and of course, not getting their side of the bargain."

I dont understand why anyone would treat their base like that EVER, (though in this administration, it hasnt been that surprising..) But what I really, really, REALLY dont understand is why on earth Obama thought it was anything but the worst possible thing he couldve done to increase democratic victories.

Please, I really don't understand how all this is supposed to work :/ I dont mean to be ignorant i just...I feel like im missing something? It doesnt make tons of sense... I really want to understand why this all happend this way, But i havent been able to. It looks like his administration was not just not supporting us, but actively going out of their way to screw us over...And I just dont get why that would happen, what they sought to accomplish..Any ideas..?
